Project 365 – Day 324: Avenue du Parc and some light painting experiments

I took a walk up avenue du Parc late this afternoon, originally with the idea of shooting a couple of locations, but both were closed and not looking at their best. So I improvised and just grabbed a couple of shots along the way.

Did you spot the addition of the word Café in the logo on the above photo?

Starbucks add the word Café to their signage at locations across Québec to comply with the provincial language law. A number of other large International brands (Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, Gap, Old Navy and Guess) are taking the Quebec government to court over the provincial language watchdog’s insistence they modify their commercial brand names to include some French.
